Participation of PARC-SARC at the 3rd International Food and Agriculture Exhibition, Karachi PARC-SARC participated in the 3rd International Food and Agriculture Exhibition held at Expo Centre Karachi from 25 to 27 November 2025. The event brought together four hundred leading national and international stakeholders from twenty agriculture and food sectors, offering a platform for knowledge sharing, business development, and showcasing innovative technologies. Later, Dr. Attaullah Khan, DG PARC-SARC, Dr. Mohammad Azeem, Ex, Chairman PARC, Dr. Mubarak Ahmed, Ex, DG, PARC-SARC and Dr. Anjum Butter, Ex. Member PSD, visited the stall and appreciated the efforts of the scientific team. They emphasized the importance of strengthening research-industry linkages and promoting innovations that support farmers, enhance productivity, and contribute to national food security. The participation allowed PARC-SARC to engage with stakeholders from industry, academia, development organizations, students and international visitors. It also opened new opportunities for collaboration in value addition, technology transfer, and commercialization.
PARC-SARC established an exhibition stall representing its major research activities in horticulture, plant introduction, arid-zone agriculture, vertebrate control and value-added products. Scientists from institutes i,e, AZRC, CDRI, FQSRI, IPI, NSTHRI, PMRI and VPCI briefed visitors on ongoing research related to food quality, safety, value addition, arid horticulture, tissue culture, bud chip method, IPM and crop disease control.
Mr. Jam Kamal Khan, Honourable Federal Minister of Commerce, His excellency Nayef Shaheen R. Al-Sulaiti, Counsel General of the State of Qatar in Pakistan, Mr. Sheryar Taj, All participants were briefed on PARC’s role in strengthening the National Agricultural Research System and the ongoing research and development activities being carried out by PARC’s research establishments in Sindh province.
