Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) Refutes Baseless Propaganda Against Recent Recruitments

Pakistan Agricultural Research Council has strongly refuted the recent campaign against recruitments in PARC, terming it baseless, misleading and contrary to facts.

PARC is a reputable agricultural research institution at the national level which is playing a vital role in agricultural research, increasing production, and promoting modern technology in the country. The scientists of the Council have provided outstanding research services in various crops, livestock, agricultural machinery, natural resources, and other important sectors.

The Council has clarified that the recent recruitments have been made entirely on the basis of law, rules and regulations and merit. In these recruitments, highly educated, capable and qualified scientists from more than 71 districts of all four provinces of Pakistan including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir were selected in a transparent process. These selected individuals include gold medalists and top position holders, who are experts in modern agricultural research.

Under the leadership of PARC Chairman, Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Ali, the institution has taken several revolutionary steps to modernize country’s agriculture sector. As a result of his efforts, the council has secured international research grants worth more than Rs 10 billion for the first time, which is a historic achievement for the institution and the country. Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Ali has also been awarded the prestigious Sitara-e-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan and the South Korean Presidential Award for Science and Technology.

The council says that some elements, who were dismissed from the institution in the past due to corruption and violations of discipline, are now trying to defame the institution through baseless allegations and false propaganda for personal gain. The council completely rejects all such allegations and requests the concerned authorities to take legal action against these negative elements.

Pakistan Agricultural Research Council invites all concerned institutions, authorities and media representatives to visit PARC and NARC to get a live briefing from scientists and observe the ground realities for themselves. The Council is on a mission to develop the country's agriculture based on it’s transparent, professional and research standards and will continue to perform its national duty efficiently despite all kinds of rumors and negative campaign
