Management of knowledge generated from different research and development activities is a key factor for sustainable development in agriculture. In order to benefit from the experiences and to add value, it is important to develop a system for knowledge management and its dissemination for proper application by the end users The Directorate of Scientific Information is working to cater to the needs of scientific community for research literature and a variety of other information material. Its main function is to locate, process and disseminate information related to agriculture research and development through different means and sources using appropriate tools and techniques. It is a technical facility providing a variety of services to the scientific community at national, regional and international level. The Directorate comprises various sections/activities viz. Library, PARC Website, Databases, Documentation, On-Line searching and Photography to facilitate the scientific community and other relevant clientele.
