Facilities
Oilseeds Research Program has following facilities at NARC:
- One Hundred fifty hectare land for research trials and seed production.
- Oil quality laboratory for evaluation of various quality parameters(oil content, fatty acid profile of rapeseed and glucosinolates content of rapeseed)
Services
- Evaluation of candidate varieties and oilseed hybrids for adaptability, resistance to insect pests and diseases and oil quality under NUYT.
- Provision of sunflower, Canola hybrid, Sarson, groundnut and soybean seed to farmers and seed companies
- Advisory services to farming community on oilseed crops production and protection issues
- Field days and print material for dissemination of production technology.
- Scientists of Oilseeds Research Program supervise research of M.Sc. and Ph.D. students.
- Guidance to Internees from different universities of Pakistan.
- Professional trainings for research and extension staff and oilseed growers.
