FARM OPERATION AND SERVICES

INTRODUCTION
FO&S is dealing with the research support services, allotment of land for research to different Research Institutes/Programs at NARC. It also manages all left over area from research to keep it in a presentable shape. Though FO&S is not directly involve in research activities but actively support all field research work at NARC. Without the support services of FO&S the field research at NARC will become impossible. FO&S is very keen to serve all the activities at NARC in a better way and on time. The distribution of NARC farm area (564 Ha) is as under:
Irrigated (U/Ground Irrigation System) : 43.8 Ha
Irrigated (Flood Irrigation System) : 62.0 Ha
Barani / Rainfed : 358.2 Ha
Building, Roads & CDA waste : 100.0 Ha
Length of farm roads : 66 Km
Irrigation channel : 3 Km
Drain : 2 Km
Water reservoirs (Capacity 6ACF each) : 2 Nos
