FUNCTIONS
To identify locations at NARC for reclaiming used water and organic solid used matter through bio-remediation for enhancing soil fertility.
Integrating farming techniques to re-use the reclaimed used water and matter.
Provide facilities for testing toxic levels in soil, water and plants, etc. with recommendations for prevention and improvements to PARC research centres.
Establish PARC/NARC sub research stations in rural areas for bio-remediation of used water and matter for reclaiming to carry on integrating farming
Trainings for professional capacity building, NGOs and arranging seminars for preservation of wetlands, parks etc. from toxicity through bio-remediation.

ACTIVITIES
Bio-remediation work was started at NARC during 2008 to reclaim the sewer water of main NARC Office Building and Hostel for irrigation purposes. Under used water treatment garden project treated 35000 gallons per day of water for irrigation.
Used water treatment lake for treatment of NARC Officers Colony is also functional.
Village Neela, Tehsil & Distt Chakwal is selected for Integrated Sanitation and Farming System.
Used water Treatment facility at Jamshad Colony Benazirabad, Nawabshah is being established.
