How to Use: Simply enter the data/figure you need to convert say '20'. Select the unit of your data say 'Hectares' from the selection menu (top) , then select the unit to which you need the data to be converted to say 'Acres' from the second menu (bottom), Click on 'Calculate' button and the result '49.42176533 Acres' will be displayed immediately. Please note that any illogical conversion e.g Hectares to Pounds will return an ' Illegal Argument ' Error. Click the ' Clear ' button and start the process again.
About Agro-Calculator: This JAVA based agricultural conversions web application has been developed specially for the PARC website to facilitate farmers, scientists ,students and other interested visitors in converting data from one unit to another. There are 21 different units available providing for complete multi-directional conversions counting to over 100 possible conversions. The conversions have been selected carefully to specifically serve the requirements of the agriculture sector of Pakistan.
Conversions factors were obtained from various sources but many had to be developed as none of the sources had the much desired to-from conversion factors that are required in most agro-based calculations . The final result is a web application that converts Hectares to Marlas without requiring to first convert data to Acres then Kanals which is the route offered by most conversion tables.
