LIBRARY FACILITY

A well-organized library at NARC has been established to facilitate the flow of scientific information and documentation of scientific and technical information. The library was fully computerized in 1997-98 and its catalogue is available on the PARC Website for online searching. The Library subscribes 29 journals on regular basis and also has on-line access to thousands of journals through the courtesy of Higher Education Commission (HEC). More than 30,000(+) library holdings include 23000(+) books/publications, 2900 reprints of documents, 1028 journal titles, video cassettes, laser discs, and CD-ROMs. The Library services include: current contents of journals on diskettes, computerized database searching, bibliographic references, internet, e-mail, fresh arrival circulation, consultation and advice, exchange of publications with national/international institutions and a depository library for FAO/United Nations publications.
