NWFP is the leadig province of Pakistan with a total annual production of about 818200 toones. However, per hectare yield is lower than overall average of Pakistan. Muzaffar Khan, renowned agriculture extensionist of the province informed the participants about the improved maize technologies developed by the agricultural research system of NWFP in collaboration with Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC).
