FACILITIES

Status of availability of natural organic materials to meet our fertilizer requirement at national level is given below:

Animal Manures = 185 million tons

Poultry Manures = 3 million tons

Sugarcane Mud = 2.5 million tons

Organic Nutrients available = 3.96 million tons (including nitrogen, phosphorous, potash and micro-nutrient)

Additional benefits = carbon, calcium, sulfur, micro-organisms, fiber, etc.

If added from other sources like blood (availability = 39.6 million tons), waste water, industrial cotton waste and forest waste, etc. the availability of organic nutrients will 10 times more than what we are using at present (3.68 million tons of total nutrients ) in the form of chemical fertilizers.
