The Institute of Agri-Biotechnology
and Genetic Resources (IABGR) is a unique facility for plant
germplasm conservation and evaluation. The institute comprises
of five the state of the art laboratories for germplasm
collection/acquisition, conservation (ex-situ & in-vitro),
evaluation and documentation. One field of 2 hectares is fenced
to save the crops from vertebrate pests and can be used for the
evaluation and multiplication of crops which are damaged by
vertebrate pests. One other field of 2ha is also available for
plantation; both of these fields are linked with irrigation
