Progress Report for Rabi 2008-09
The Farm Advisory Committee (FAC) meeting on 12 September issued land distribution to all programs at NARC as per the requests received from each Program Coordinators/ Directors.
 

During Rabi-2008-09 following sowing was completed by 25th November 2008

• Wheat Cultivation/ FO&S on 600 acres (including Wheat Program and Dr Mujib Program)

• Vegetables by the Organic Group (within Orchards) on 45 acres, including Carrot, Radish, Spinach, Turnip, Mathey,
  Onions, and peas. Watermelon and squash are also being sown in the same Orchard block.

• HRI also planted various vegetables on 11 acres including Onion, Garlic, Turnip, and Spinach

• Oilseed Program has sown 15 acres of various oilseed crops including Pakola, Brassica, Groundnut and Mustered.

• Fodder program had sown Oats on 20 acres

• Pulses program had sown Lentil and Chickpea on 15 acres

• Sugarcane Program has sown sugar-beat and sugarcane on 3 acres on experimental basis
