NARC, Islamabad

FACILITIES

 

CDRP Islamabad: The CDRP laboratories are housed in the central laboratory complex of NARC consisting of four well-equipped labs, for plant virology, fungal pathology, bacteriology and nematology. These laboratories are supported by central electron microscope unit, which houses both scanning and transmission electron microscope and associated equipment for preparation of specimens. The Institute has support from central green house unit and field area in addition to its own permanent field area of 2.5 acres.

 

CDRP Murree: The CDRP station at Murree comprises of two laboratories, growth room and a green house which is primarily taking care of cereal rust research.

 

CDRI Karachi: The CDRI Karachi station has a basic plant pathology laboratory, a green house and field area of 1.5 acre. It draws support from near by University of Karachi, Campus for certain specific research areas. It also maintains a National Mycological Herbarium.
