Ans.

• Breed best female with best male (in terms of production).
• Give adequate amount of balanced feed
• Pay attention to vaccination and health care
• Proper management practices and good housing facilities may be provided

What is artificial insemination (A.I.) and its use in cattle and buffalo production?
Ans. A.I. is practiced where natural mating is a problem. Semen of high producing animal is preserved and used artificially in animals on large scale.

What is embryo technology and its application in cattle?
Ans. A high producing dam's eggs are collected and put in the uterus of surrocate mother. The cow can thus be used to produce large number of off springs in her lifetime.

What are the infertility problems in the livestock animals and how to tackle them?
Ans. Abortion, repeat breeder, uterus infection, poor semen quality etc are the common problems in livestock
