Agricultural Research Council (PARC) an apex scientific and research
organization at national level in the agriculture sector looking for
Consultants in the following areas for appointment under PSDP funded
project titled “National Integrated Pest Management (IPM)”. The potential candidates
should have following qualifications and relevant experience:

i)
M.Sc. / Ph.D. in a discipline of Agricultural or Biological
Sciences with 10-15 years experience in R&D or Educational
Institution / organization.
ii)
Shall have good writing and communication skills. He / She
shall have knowledge and understanding of Farmer Field School (FFS)
approach and its application.
iii)
Experience in development of such materials for children on
biodiversity and ecosystem will be considered as additional
advantage. |

Information Dissemination
Duration: One
month
Remuneration:
Rs. 60,000/-
(all
inclusive)

i)
Master in Communication or Journalism or Computer Science
with experience in website design and development.
ii)
Experience of working in some agriculture / biology related
field will be considered as additional advantage.

month

(all inclusive)

i)
M.Sc. / Ph.D. in a discipline of Plant Protection or
Biological Sciences with 10-15 years working experience in R&D
organization.
ii)
Shall have good writing and communication skills. He / She
shall have knowledge and understanding of Farmer Field School (FFS)
approach and its processes.
iii)
Experience in facilitation skills and non-formal education
under FFS approach will be an added benefit.

Socio-Economic Analysis
Duration: One
month
Remuneration:
Rs. 75,000/-
(all inclusive)

i)
M.Sc. / Ph.D. in a discipline of Agriculture Economic or
Rural Sociology with 10-15 years experience in R&D organization.
ii)
Shall have good writing and communication skills. He / She
shall have knowledge and understanding of WTO.
iii)
Previous experience of working on SPS and WTO issues will be
considered as additional advantage. |

curriculum for CEC.
iv)
Pilot testing of the revised curriculum at a local
school.
v)
Compile the activities in the form of a manual.

Information Dissemination
Title: Modification and
development of WEBSITE of the National IPM Program |
i)
Review the present status of website of the National IPM
Program and undertake its modification.
ii)
Review the achievements of the National IPM Program and
extract suitable materials for presentation on the website.
iii)
Review on-going and future activities / plans of the National
IPM Program and make their presentations on website.
iv)
Develop networking / linkage with national and international
IPM stakeholders through the website.

Project Monitoring and Evaluation
Title: Progress &
Issues in implementation of ToF / FFS approach at field level
|
i)
Visit ongoing Training of Facilitators (ToF) and Farmer Filed
School (FFS) based IPM projects being executed by the Federal /
Provincial Governments and NGO’s.
ii)
Monitoring the quality of ToF / FFS process.
iii)
Identify issues and bottlenecks in field implementation of
FFS approach.
iv)
Scope and Challenges to FFS in Pakistan.
v)
Produce a technical report.

Socio-Economic Analysis
Title: Sanitary and
Phyto-Sanitary (SPS) issues of agriculture production and their
implication under WTO regime |
i)
Define and identify the Sanitary and Phyto-Sanitary (SPS)
issues in agriculture production, particularly, with reference to
existing crop production and protection processes across Pakistan.
ii)
Implication of the SPS issues on local consumption and export
of farm produce.
iii)
Suggest the required changes in policy for improvement of SPS
conditions to meet the challenges under WTO regime.
iv)
Produce a technical report.
