Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) an apex scientific and research organization at national level in the agriculture sector looking for independent Project Director under PSDP funded project titled “National Integrated Pest Management (IPM)”. The potential candidates should have following qualifications and relevant experience:

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. (Entomology / Plant Pathology / Biological Sciences related to any discipline of Plant Protection).

EXPERIENCE

i)      Must have a minimum of 2-3 year experience in field implementation of IPM practices through Training of Facilitators (ToF) and Farmer Field School (FFS) approach, in addition to overall service experience of 17 years in BS-17 and above.

ii)      Fifteen research publications in refereed journals of international repute as per approval list by HEC.

iii)     Must have leadership qualities and proven track record to manage and monitor plant protection related project. Have ability to manage a multidisciplinary team of professionals for project implementation and efficient & effective use of available resources.

iv)     Experience of working in or with government organizations and working / hand-on knowledge of computers will be preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION / TORs

i)    The Project Director will be responsible for implementation of the program till the completion of project and he/she will be responsible for establishment and maintenance of internal administrative and financial control of the project, under the approved research program as per PC-I.  He / She will be responsible for successful completion of the project according to the approved PC-I.

ii)   The Project Director will be recruited on contract for a period of 2 years or till the completion of project.

iii)   Headquarter of the post is at Islamabad but traveling is involved as and when required.
