CONSULTANT REQUIRED

Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) an apex scientific and research organization at national level in the agriculture sector looking to hire the services of an Entomologist for short term consultancies on contract basis in ASPL-II funded project titled "National Insect Museum and Insects Pests Informatics". The terms, conditions and qualification for consultant are as under.

Required Qualification / Experience, Duration and Package

1. Qualification:           M.Sc. Entomology / Zoology.
2. Experience:              Intensive hands on proven experience in Insect Taxonomy / Systematic, Insect Ecology,
                                   Insect Behavior and Biological Control will be given preference.
3. Age:                         55 to 65 years
4. Duration:                  Six months
5. Remuneration:          Rs. 35,000/- (per month) plus traveling allowance equivalent to BS- 19 officers.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS, FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• To develop a strategy for collection of insects & curation of insects to be housed in the newly constructed Museum.
• To implement a strategy for systematic research in the Museum.
• To develop a modus operandi for linkages with related and local agencies.
• To help in preparation & conduction of training courses
